Sriroop Chaudhuri earned his first MS on Geology from Kolkata University followed by another from West Virginia University on Environmental hydrogeology and water pollution. My Ph.D. at West Virginia University focused on carbon sequestration potentatials of reclaimed coal-mines and impacts of soil ecosystems. My post-doctoral research looked into long-term spatio-temporal changes in water resources especially resulting from agricultural practices and/or urbanization. I combine GIS with field/laboratory studies to look into environmental changes that affects sustainable development. I have over 10 years of research and teaching experience in US and India. I have 16 peer-reviewed publications and 13 conference abstracts. My research has been featured on popular press on numerous occasions.
